Lynwood Unified High Schools Ranked Among the best in U.S. News and World Report’s 2023-24 Rankings!

Firebaugh and Lynwood high schools have been recognized in the 2023-24 Best High School rankings by U.S. News and World Report, celebrating the District’s efforts to establish and expand high-quality college and career preparation programs to ensure students’ long-term personal and academic success.

This year’s rankings include data on nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Of those, nearly 18,000 schools were ranked based on college readiness scores, demographics, state test scores and how well they prepare students for college.

Lynwood Unified’s comprehensive high schools earned high national and metro-area rankings, an achievement supported by its various career and academic offerings that inspire students to excel.

Firebaugh High School and Lynwood High School boast Class of 2023 graduation rates of 94% and 92%, respectively, with students attending such universities as Yale, Stanford, UC Berkeley and more.

To support college and career readiness, Lynwood schools offer dual enrollment courses with Compton, Cerritos and Long Beach City colleges; hands-on career technical education in such disciplines as health and biomedical sciences; STEM coursework; visual and performing arts opportunities; and rigorous college prep courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB).
