Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to Lynwood Unified School District! We are excited to welcome you to the Lynwood Unified family, where you can explore amazing opportunities for your child, including Dual Language Immersion programs in Spanish starting in Transitional Kindergarten, challenging academic options like AVID, AP and CTE Career Pathways, cutting-edge facilities and college access programs designed to support your child’s success.

As you begin the enrollment process, we want to ensure we have the most accurate and up-to-date information about your child. Below are the most important details about the registration process.

Steps for Registration:

Parents/guardians must complete one (1) registration packet per student.
Student Enrollment Packets can be accessed by clicking HERE or by visiting any school site in the District.
Note: The packet must be completed before your registration appointment.

Included in the Student Enrollment Packet:

Enrollment Packet Letter for Parents (English and Spanish)
LUSD Student Enrollment Form (5 pages)
Student Emergency Card & Health Insurance Questionnaire (English and Spanish)
Title I Form
Home Language Survey (English/Spanish)
Report of Health Examination (English and Spanish)
Oral Health Assessment Letter (English and Spanish)
Oral Health Assessment Form (English and Spanish)
Program Placement Options (English and Spanish)

California School Immunization Records are also needed for enrollment. Please access the form by clicking HERE.

For Families Seeking to Enroll in LUSD (Inter-District)

Inter-District permits allow families to request that their child attend a school outside their home district. If you would like your child to attend a Lynwood school but live outside of LUSD boundaries, you will need to:

Request an Inter-District permit from your current home district.
Once the permit is approved, submit it to the Student Services Department in the District Office or email it to [email protected].

For Families Seeking to Enroll in a School Outside of LUSD

If you live within Lynwood Unified's attendance boundaries but wish for your child to attend a school outside the District, you must request an Inter-District Permit from LUSD:

Complete the LUSD Inter-District Permit.
Return it to the Student Services Department or email it to [email protected].

Request a School Transfer Within LUSD (Intra-District)

If your child is currently enrolled in a Lynwood Unified school and you would like to request a transfer to another school within our District, simply click the button below to submit your request.

If the form is closed, families can make their request in person at the Student Services Department. HERE is the Intra-District Permit Request form that will need to be completed.

Solicite un Cambio de Escuela Dentro de LUSD

Si su hijo/a está actualmente inscrito en una escuela del Distrito y desea solicitar un cambio a otra escuela dentro de nuestro distrito, simplemente haga clic en el botón a continuación para enviar su solicitude.

Si el formulario está cerrado, las familias pueden hacer su solicitud en persona en el Departamento de Servicios Estudiantiles. AQUI se encuentra el formulario de Solicitud de Permiso Intra-Distrital que debe completarse.
