Campus Safety

campus safetyLynwood Unified is dedicated to providing a secure and supportive environment for our students, staff, and community. Our Campus Safety team is a group of dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere.

Each officer has the skills and knowledge necessary to address various safety concerns and emergencies. They are protectors, mentors, and allies, fostering positive relationships with students and staff alike.

Our primary mission is to ensure the safety of our school environments. This includes:

  • Monitoring Campus Activity: Operating on a 24/7 schedule, our officers patrol school grounds and respond to all suspicious activities in or around the perimeter of our schools, ensuring that all areas are secure and free from any potential threats.
  • Emergency Response: In an emergency, our team is prepared to act swiftly and effectively to protect students and staff, coordinating with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Safety Education: We believe in proactive measures, which is why we offer safety workshops and training sessions for students, staff, and families. These initiatives cover topics such as emergency preparedness and personal safety.
  • Building Relationships: Our officers are integral members of the school community. They engage with students, participate in school events, and are always approachable to those who need assistance or guidance.
  • Annual Training: Officers receive training in first-aid/CPR, workplace bullying, child abuse identification, and all local/state/federal mandates.

Together, we create a safe and thriving educational environment for all.
