Lynwood Unified will open the doors to a brand-new Health and Biomedical Sciences Classroom and Lab during a ribbon-cutting event at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School.
The new facility will provide students with hands-on innovative learning tools and modernized equipment to explore topics within the school’s biomedical science and nursing four-year Career Technical Education pathway, including human medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health.
The Measure K project was made possible through grants from the California Department of Education’s Career Technical Education Facilities Program, the Office of Public School Construction and the W. M. Keck Foundation.
Lynwood Unified is committed to providing students with state-of-the-art learning facilities, including modernized classrooms, advanced technology and additional resources that ensure academic excellence at all levels.
