Lindbergh Elementary School earlier this month welcomed its popular Kindchella Art and Music Festival – a fun spin on Coachella that emphasizes kindness, friendship and belonging.
The schoolwide event – held May 5 and organized by Lindbergh 2023 Teacher of the Year and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) coach Michele Fulsom – originated from Autism Awareness Month, which is celebrated in April.
The school’s dance crew kicked off the festive event, which included snacks and prizes, games stationed by clubs and classes, face painting and art stations, where students explored topics on caring, inclusiveness and respect.
All Lynwood Unified School District schools have been recognized with PBIS awards for their outstanding efforts in creating and maintaining a positive campus climate and creating an engaging school environment where students can succeed, strengthened by the collective work for teachers and staff.
