The Lynwood Partners Education Foundation was awarded a $100,000 grant from the California Community Foundation Summer Learning Initiative to support K-8 Lynwood Unified students during summer programs.
The grant supports the purchase of learning materials and supplies for an in-person six-week Summer Bridge Program for K-8 students. LUSD summer instruction focuses on strengthening English and Math standards. LUSD is also partnering with Think Together to incorporate in-person instruction in physical fitness, visual and performing arts, science, technology, STEM, social-emotional learning, and a community project.
